Mission

The School of Osteopathy of Madrid (EOM) specializes in Osteopathy training for Physiotherapists and other professionals in countries with requisite legislation, following the international standards recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) according to the text published in November 2010 “Reference Points for Training in Osteopathy”, and following the requirements set by the European Standard UNE-16686, December 2015 for teaching entities for the training and academic qualification of Osteopathy and Provision of Healthcare in Osteopathy.

Our organization has been a beacon of academic excellence since its inception in 1989. Thanks to our team we have met and overcome the various challenges that, year after year, we have set ourselves.

The EOM aims to prepare students for their future as osteopaths in society through the development of their skills and the acquisition of knowledge, both theoretical and practical, and through close contact with other fellow professionals.

Vision

The School of Osteopathy of Madrid passes on the osteopathic tradition while remaining constantly up to date with scientific and technical advances; and which it implements both in its methodology and in materials and facilities.

The EOM devotes an important part of its program to the structural osteopathic tradition, without renouncing the areas of cranial and visceral osteopathy, to which it also devotes special attention.

Our final mission: academic excellence through the creation of professionals capable of making a significant contribution to society and to the Health Sciences.

Values

Academic vocation, responsibility, trust, perseverance and dedication make up our core values. We believe in what we do. The School of Osteopathy of Madrid and its commitment to ethics and integrity in the world of educational. The EOM is a school that specializes in training osteopaths who already hold a qualification in Physiotherapy; and other professionals in countries with the requisite legislation.

The management, teaching team and other staff of the EOM are governed by solid ethical principles and this is transmitted to the students, making them adherents of this philosophy and helping them contribute positively to society.

Academic excellence and commitment to students are, along with honesty, responsibility and respect for others, the traits that our school promotes on a daily basis to produce professionals with high clinical and research skills. We regard ourselves as a school of health science and we invest time and energy in our research department in order to make relevant contributions to the academic community. This is bourne out by the recognition that the SCImago ranking gives us. We are included in its prestigious classification of Ibero-American institutions based on the criteria of academic value, scientific contribution and social impact.

The interest of our colleagues in different countries in learning Osteopathy is the main driver of the EOM in its daily effort to expand and publicize the osteopathic discipline. The advancement of communication technologies has facilitated our development in other countries, bringing cultures closer together and creating a community of thousands of professionals who share their professional and technical know-how, and enrich the professional that they are so proud of.

We are very pleased to have the opportunity to teach in almost all the countries of North, Central and South America, a large part of Europe and several countries in Asia – some as geographically and culturally remote as Hong Kong – and be able to generate professional networks and promote innovation and research excellence. We will continue to promote and share our knowledge and excellence through meetings, conferences and a global presence.

The purview of the EOM is the academic environment, but its commitment is firmly embedded in the community, training professionals capable of preventing disease and promoting health among their patients; offering quality treatment within the framework of the profession of the Health Sciences.

We welcome you and hope that you will achieve, with us at your side, your professional and personal aspirations.
